To the British, the American Revolution is the forgotten war.
That's what two Evansville teachers, Christine Zimmerman and Ruth Baize, discovered this summer.
Through Lilly Endowment grants, they spent two weeks visiting England to find out what British students are taught about the American Revolution.
The answer, they found, was nothing.
British schoolchildren don't study the war; the subject isn't even in school curriculum. What students learn about that period more likely is from television or other non- school sources, the teachers said.
