Anyone who enjoys wading a trout stream needn't be reminded that water - or the lack of it - has had a definite effect on the fishing.

Wading knee deep in a stream in sneakers and shorts on a hot day can be refreshing. But when your favorite trout stream contains more stone than water, fishing can be hazardous to your health.
