It was like tapping into history Friday as a few surviving members of the Joseph Henry Chapter of the Morse Telegraph Club combined their annual meeting with a celebration of the 100th birthday of Nathan Aaron.
At Aaron's retirement home at Wellspring House, food was moved over on the luncheon tables to make room for telegraph instruments that were the primary means of communication when Aaron and the others were young.
On Friday, those instruments were keys that unlocked memories.
