Bob Ziter could have named his place "Robert's Fine Cuisine" or "Bobby's Bistro," but, being a Bob, it had to be called Bob's Diner.
"I couldn't think of anything else to call it," said Ziter, sitting in a booth among his customers. They said he picked the right name.
"There's no fancy stuff here," explained Marjorie Hansen of Troy, who frequently stops by for lunch. "It's just plain, regular, good food. It's a really friendly place."
That description sets Ziter and his diner right in line with a bizarre fad: the Bob cult of the 1990s.
Spurred on by the hit movie "What About Bob?" and ...
