Grandparents whose daughter won't allow them to see their grandson asked New York's highest court Wednesday to let them sue for visitation rights.
The state Court of Appeals will decide whether the maternal grandparents of a 4-year-old Long Island boy, identified in court papers as Max, can seek visitation rights over the objection of the boy's parents.
"Allow the hand of 4-year-old Max to be placed once more in the hand of his grandfather, and let the bond of unconditional love be rekindled and flourish," said Leslie Levine, the attorney for Max's grandparents.
