Officials from Team USA and Knickerbocker Arena jointly announced Monday a six-game schedule that will showcase the hockey players who eventually will represent the United States in the 1992 Winter Olympic Games in Albertville, France.
Opening the brief slate of games for Team USA, which will spend some of its training period prior to the Olympics at the newly constructed Albany County Hockey Training Facility in Colonie, will be a visit Friday, Sept.13, by the National Hockey League's Washington Capitals. More than a month will pass before Team USA's next Knick appearance - against Team Canada - on Thursday, Oct.17.
