Chrysler Corp. Chairman Lee A. Iacocca, trying to energize the anemic automaker for the second time in his career, says he's getting tired, is talking with directors about a successor and wouldn't mind hiring Persian Gulf war hero Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf to help run the company.
"He's a brilliant strategist and a hard worker, and he's going to leave the Army," Iacocca says in an interview in the April 8 issue of Fortune magazine, which was released Wednesday and goes on newsstands March 25.
"He knows objectives and he must know people, and he sure would have discipline, wouldn't he," Iacocca said.
