The Third Amendment is the forgotten amendment.

Drafted in response to the British quartering acts of 1765 and 1774, the Third Amendment prevents the government from housing troops in your home without permission during peacetime and without a special law during wartime. The amendment has not been a major issue since the Revolution.

But the Fourth Amendment is the closest the drafters came to creating a right of privacy.
