The air and ground forces of Iraq have a definite Soviet flavor: Saddam Hussein's jets, tanks, rifles, machine guns and rockets are Soviet-designed.
Iraq has, however, shopped the arms bazaars of the world procuring weapons.
These are the main Iraqi airborne resources:
*MiG-29 Fulcrum: Soviet-built fighter jet that can be armed with air-to-air missiles or ground-attack bombs and rockets.
*Mirage F-1: Saddam's best fighter jet. The French-built jet can carry laser-guided bombs and be outfitted with extra fuel tanks for increased range.
