When it comes to vitamins and other food supplements like amino acids, the building blocks of protein, many people mistakenly believe that if a little is good, a lot is better.
Not necessarily, say scientists, who warn that these over-the-counter substances taken alone or in large quantities can have unexpected, and often unwanted, effects.
