After consulting with Saudi Arabian leaders, the Bush administration announced Friday that it was dropping a $15 billion arms sale.
When the crisis in the Persian Gulf is resolved, the administration will reassess Saudi needs and decide what weapons the country needs, State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said.
