A Canadian priest who has raised almost $7 million since 1985 has rankled Roman Catholic church officials with his crusade dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima.
The Rev. Nicholas Gruner, based across the Niagara River from Buffalo in Fort Erie, has claimed in weekly broadcasts and magazine articles that Russia will enslave the world, Communists have infiltrated Catholic bishops and the Pope is defying Our Lady of Fatima.
Gruner, 48, sells statues, books and other religious articles in his worldwide television, radio and magazine crusade.
