Town Board members signed the final documents Thursday night

to establish the North Greenbush Ambulance District.

Residents voted Oct. 14 to create the district, which will now have most of its budget directly funded by residents.

Each board member had to sign the order, which listed actions the board took to create the district, said Town Clerk Kathryn Connolly. The board had to form a committee to study the idea. It had voted to form the district on July 9, but residents presented the board with petitions so a referendum was mandatory.
