The untimely death of Jim Henson two years ago might lead some fans of the master Muppeteer to approach the new version of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" with no great expectations.
But Kermit, Miss Piggy and company - now under the corporate custodianship of the ever-savvy Disney studio - are in very good hands. They belong to Henson's son Brian, who directs "The Muppet Christmas Carol" with more than a predictable technical skill. On the evidence of this highly enjoyable outing, Brian Henson has inherited much of his father's special gift.
