Dec. 22--As the final days of 2006 click by, I have been seized by an odd hankering. A hankering for things that rhyme. Yes, it's time to unveil Grogan's Annual Really Bad Poetry Contest. I looked in the mirror the other morning, and said, "If I hold it, they will come." I'm counting on you. It is a contest that will celebrate all the weird, wacky and wonderful events that help define the Philadelphia region. The colorful quirks and characters that make this place tick.

What better way to sum them all up than with that most economical form of communication, poetry? Really, really bad poetry. As always, I'm proud ...
