SPCA officials have formally opened |a docket of cruelty with police following a weekend incident in which three dogs were left in a hot car.
Durban and Coast SPCA spokeswoman Caroline Smith said evidence against the man, who had allowed one of the dogs to die in the car, is mounting.
Shocked patrons of the Car Boot Market in First Avenue near Greyville frantically called for SPCA and police assistance as the dogs lay dying in the vehicle last weekend.
