Dec. 23--HIGH POINT -- Unsafe drivers on the road for the holidays might get more than presents to take home with them. That's the message the N.C. State Highway Patrol has for motorists in the days ahead. Starting this weekend and continuing through New Year's Day, the highway patrol will increase the number of troopers on interstates and heavily traveled corridors, watching for motorists who drive recklessly or at excessive speeds.
