IT WAS THE BEST of times, it was the worst of times - the many times we went to see "A Christmas Carol" and the many other times we went to see "A Christmas Carol."
Some were steaming roast goose and some were cold chopped liver and some were frozen turkey on a stick.
There was the Reginald Owen "Christmas Carol" and the Alistair Sim "Christmas Carol." The Sir Laurence Olivier and the Sir Ralph Richardson and the Sir Seymour Hicks. The George C. Scott, the Sterling Hayden, the Patrick Stewart, the Albert Finney, the Lionel Barrymore, the Bill Murray. The Michael Caine and the Muppets , the Scrooge McDuck , the Marcel Marceau, the Mr. Magoo.
