It's a very good year when I left Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, two stellar Madison Opera performances, the entire Wisconsin Film Festival, Union Theater's fine season and CTM Madison Family Theatre Company's triumphant "Christmas Carol" off of a year-end list.

Conductor John DeMain eloquently passed the joy of Leonard Bernstein's music to the appreciative crowd. Bernstein, DeMain's cohort and mentor, could not have been in better hands.
