NEW YORK, Dec. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Wynnchurch Capital Partners, a Chicago- based private equity firm, and Oak Hill Special Opportunities Fund, a New York-based special situations investment fund, announced today that they have signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Highway Technologies Group ("HTG") from United Rentals, Inc. HTG will become an independent, stand-alone entity separate from United Rentals, Inc. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2007.
