Dec. 27--A delivery driver for All-American Co-op died Tuesday morning on a rural Fillmore County farm when he was suffocated by a truck auger.
According to the Fillmore County Sheriff's Office, Rick Bamlet, 49, of Stewartville, was making a delivery to a farm east of Racine. He had been standing on top of a feed bin with the remote control for the truck's auger in his pocket. Authorities say it appears the remote accidentally was activated, the auger came down on top of him, and he died of suffocation. Another person was with him but was unable to move the auger off ...
