Dec. 27--Next month, when LA Fitness opens its doors in Manchester Township, other local gyms should not fear a loss of members to the big-box health club.
Heavy users, or those who workout on a daily basis, will remain loyal to their gyms of choice, regardless of the amenities offered by the 45,000-square-foot LA Fitness health club, said Lewis Small, an assistant professor at York College with an expertise in retail and marketing.
