New Year's Eve is upon us, and it doesn't matter whom you've kissed all year; what matters is that you're locking lips with someone at midnight. So, why all the fuss?
"At one time, if a couple kissed publicly, it was the announcement of their betrothal," says Maureen O'Sullivan, a psychology professor at the University of San Francisco.
