Dec. 29--DELAND -- Now that the storm has passed and the damage has been measured, victims of this week's tornado have entered a new phase of disaster aftermath: pushing paper.
On Thursday, displaced residents trickled into American Red Cross service centers set up in Volusia County to find financial strategies to piece their lives back together.
The service centers, which opened Thursday afternoon at the DeLand YMCA on International Speedway Boulevard and the Daytona Beach Lions Club on White Street, helped residents who didn't know where to turn after a tornado tore apart homes and apartments on Christmas Day.
