SC rejects plea by Goyal MG Gases
New Delhi, Dec 29 (PTI) The Supreme Court has dismissed a plea filed by city-based industrial gas company Goyal M G Gases Pvt Ltd seeking a direction to stop a subsidiary of its European partner from competing in the same business segment.
In its petition, Goyal M G Gases had contended that while the Delhi High Court stopped Air Liquide Deutschland GmbH of Germany and Air Liquide S A of France from entering the same segment, it did not bar a subsidiary of the French company.
Air Liquide's German arm had originally 49 per cent stake in Goyal M G Gases, which was later sold to the French firm.
