Dec. 31--SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- In the nation's eyes, only two things can lift Boise State to something higher than a nice little mid-major program. One is playing well against Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.
The other is beating Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. Fall flat, like the Broncos did in their 2005 season opener at Georgia, a 48-13 loss, and the critics will come on strong.
