A group of young entrepreneurs wants to support 3,500 Fort Drum soldiers stationed in Iraq by sending care packages early next year.
Teens in Junior Achievement of Central New York's Young Entrepreneur program this year formed the program's first nonprofit organization, the Helping Hands Project, said Pamela Gratton, director of education at Junior Achievement. The teens are sponsored by Cooper
Crouse-Hinds.
The care packages cost $30 to create and $30 to ship. Each one serves up to 30 people. The teens are asking local residents and businesses to donate all or part of the $60 cost for each box. The ...
