Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. ("Huawei"), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, has announced that it has completed video phone and HSDPA 3.6 Mbps services trials on a network in Europe using UMTS 900 MHz.
Huawei's UMTS 900 MHz solutions reuses the existing GSM 900 MHz's frequencies and infrastructures including base station cabinets, antenna lines and power feeders, causing a reduction in capital expenditure and enabling the provision of wireless broadband services. Huawei's successful trial on UMTS900 MHz indicates that Huawei is making further breakthroughs in the UMTS extended bands field. ...
