Tempe, Ariz. -- It was as if it wasn't the same defense.
After a brilliant first half in which the Gophers defense limited Texas Tech's high-powered offense to one touchdown, the second half of Friday night's Insight Bowl was a disaster.
Graham Harrell destroyed the Gophers in the final 23 minutes and in overtime of Texas Tech's 44-41 victory over Minnesota. In that span, the quarterback completed 21 of 32 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns.
Most importantly, he directed five consecutive scoring drives after halftime, brought Texas Tech back from a 31-point deficit, forced overtime and led the Red Raiders to a historic ...
