Oscar-winning producer Arnold Shapiro is breaking some new ground with his latest documentary, a discussion of child abuse that will be televised on several commercial networks at the same time.
Shapiro says he chose the subject because child abuse is often the root cause of child abuse.
"Victims of child abuse either act out their rage on society or on themselves," he says. "We're all affected because it costs $5.3 billion every year just to investigate reports of child abuse and neglect."
