No criminal wrongdoing was involved in the death of a cancer patient who was injected with the wrong drug, a prosecutor said.
Onondaga County District Attorney William Fitzpatrick said there was nothing in records at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital in Syracuse to suggest that criminal negligence caused the patient's death. Fitzpatrick also consulted with the county medical examiner before reaching his conclusion.
The patient has not been identified by the hospital. But it's been widely reported that she was Muriel Simons, 64, of Rome, the wife of Richard ...
