Men and women veterans can still contribute to New York state military history through the New York State Military Heritage Museum.
"Those veterans are part of the military heritage of our state," said Norman Merski, museum director. "New Yorkers have served and sacrificed from the French and Indian War (1754-1760) through Operation Desert Storm (1990 through present). New York state has been the biggest provider of men and women to our military in all our wars. Like veterans of the past, today's veterans should not be forgotten."
So today's veterans can add to the state's military history by filling out a questionnaire.
