A blind woman who arrived at the Troy-Cohoes YWCA last summer pregnant and with two children has given birth to a healthy baby girl.
Beverly Lindsay, 27, was at the center of a debate last July between Albany and Rensselaer counties over who was responsible for providing a health-care aide.
The woman had left her husband because of marital problems and moved into Marillac, an Albany shelter. Lindsay says she was told to leave 11 1/2 days later because a blind woman who had a husband could not be considered homeless.
