Debate over a new Albany Board of Education policy intended to encourage positive thinking has raised questions about whether one of the board members always thinks for himself. At Tuesday night's school board meeting, the board approved a resolution proposed by board member Theresa Swidorski requiring that board members and top administrators pay $1 into a special fund for education any time they utter the words "You/we can't do that" or "We've never done it that way before" or any variation on that idea.
