In the blink of an eye (actually, a certain Tuesday in November), everything has changed. The mighty elephant has been cut down, crashing with a thud to the jungle floor, and the once-humbled donkey is standing tail and proud, master (maybe) of all he surveys. He has snatched the rubber stamp from the lame duck and has handed back a veto stamp. Whether the lame duck will be strong enough to wield his veto stamp remains to be seen. Whether the donkey starts acting like a jackass also remains to be seen.
