"It's about time we got back to something like this every once in a while," says actor Dennis Haysbert, "just to let people know that they're still feeling something." Haysbert stars in "Hallelujah," an original TV movie airing on Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 8 p.m. as part of PBS' "American Playhouse."
The film also stars James Earl Jones, Tracy Douglas, Phylicia Rashad and Keith David, and features an appearance by Isaac Hayes. Charles Lane ("Sidewalk Stories") directs from a script by Michael Genet (who makes a brief appearance in the film as a homeless man.).
