It now appears that Chinese food prepared in America can plug those arteries just as fast as anything from your average roadside burger joint.

In fact, according to a study released Wednesday by the Center for Science in the Public Interest, the most popular Chinese dishes -- kung pao chicken and mu shu pork, for instance -- may be the worst for you.

"Isn't that always the way?" said the study's co-author, Jayne Hurley.
