A local businessman plans to convert an old Wilson Street building in Oneida into a plaza that would house a laundry, a salon, offices and possibly a restaurant.
Derrick Buell presented his designs to the Oneida Planning Commission late last month and is awaiting recommendations from the Madison County Planning Department. He likely will appear before the commission again to work out details of the plan before any businesses open inside 262 Wilson St.
The building once housed a hardware store, but it has been mostly vacant in recent years.
