By June, contractors should begin working on turning the vacant first floor of Cohoes Music Hall into a visitors center.
The music hall's first floor is being renovated as a visitors center for the Hudson-Mohawk Urban Cultural Park Commission with the aid of a $1.2 million grant from the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation under the 1986 Environmental Quality Bond Act.
The acceptance of bids for the work began on April 3, and the bids will be opened May 4, according to the city's Board of Contract & Supply.
