Jan. 4--BERKELEY -- So does Marshawn Lynch, the Oakland kid who made good at Cal, want to be a Raider? A day after announcing that he would enter the NFL draft, Lynch was asked to ponder the question.
"Man, if anybody picks me (in the draft), I will be lucky," said Lynch, sidestepping the question like he dodged Pac-10 linebackers.
Although the possibility of Lynch becoming the No. 1 pick in the draft -- which belongs to the Raiders -- appears unlikely, it would seem to be the perfect marriage, a team that needs a marquee running back and an Oakland native who has a burning love for his hometown.
