Taking a broad perspective on the institutional defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) investment industries, as well as the retail fund management industry, a new survey has highlighted some startling misalignments between the thinking of pension funds and their asset managers.
More DB sponsors and trustees, the research finds, are looking for global equities and emerging markets equities products rather than portable alpha and swaps structures.
