Skyworth sells 'super thin' CRT-TVs
Shanghai. January 4. INTERFAX-CHINA - Skyworth, a Chinese TV maker, launched a new series of CRT-based TVs that are only 37 centimeters thick, the company announced yesterday.
The super-thin series of CRT TVs, with screen sizes ranging from 21 inch to 32 inch, are priced at around one-third the average price of a LCD TV of comparable size.
"The new series of CRT TVs has solved the traditional problem of caustics (image distortions) on LCD TVs. At the same time, the new products have a better appearance than traditional CRT TVs and will have a longer life span," said Yang Dongwen, manager of the TV department ...
