Project Target, a federally sponsored research project by The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (U.S. Department of Education) to the State University of New York College at Brockport, has been designed to establish and validate criterion-referenced physical fitness test items and standards for adolescents with selected disabilities. These standards should provide targets for youngsters with disabilities in attaining healthful living through physical fitness activities.
