Quite a year, no?

When it wasn't O.J., it was the Newt. And when it wasn't Newt, it was Roseanne or Madonna or that Gillooly guy.

Sort of makes you wonder how we would have survived the stormy seas of '94 if not for a certain island of sanity that traditional source of tranquil reflection commonly known as the movies.

Scoff if you must, but it was in the motion-picture dialogue of the year soon to end that some of us found the wisdom and the humor to cope with its darker moments.

So with highest hopes for '95, here are the tastiest sound bites from the year's movie menu.
