GLENVILLE Piloting a routine return flight on a routine Saturday skydiving jaunt, something went wrong for Raymond Ryan.
It may have been something wrong with the plane, or something wrong with him. Those who know Ryan, 43, of Gloversville, say it couldn't have been pilot error: ``Skip,'' as he is known around the Duanesburg Skydiving Club, is too good.
Either way, his light Cessna crashed around 1 p.m. into the Mohawk River, and completely submerged, save for a wing and propeller tip. Dazed and bleeding, Ryan managed to get to the shore about 15 feet away and walk to the Gay Valley Airport a half-mile ...
