WASHINGTON It sounds like an exam question for Talmudic scholars: Can a piece of cheese be kosher if it is made with an enzyme genetically engineered from a pig's gene?
Rabbis say such a product, which is being developed, probably could be consumed by Jews, even though Jewish law forbids eating pork.
