HUDSON FALLS Rensselaer earned a berth in the Class D semifinals of the state football tournament on Saturday, controlling the ball for the final two quarters in posting a 19-0 shutout of personal nemesis Moriah of Section VII.
D.J. Whitman, a junior running back, exemplified the grit and determination of his team as he shook off a forgettable, and scoreless, first half to score two touchdowns and rush for all 95 of his yards to lead the way.
