CHATHAM Robert C. Bacon, 87, of Old Chatham died Wednesday in hisresidence.
Mr. Bacon was born in Philadelphia, and had lived in Old Chatham for 30 years. He attended Antioch College in Ohio.
Mr. Bacon worked in the banking industry as a young man. He later moved to Cambridge, where he owned a farm. He worked in maintenance and as a bookkeeper at the Abington Friends School in Abington, Pa., and the North Country School in Lake Placid, where he was manager of the farm.
Mr. Bacon was a co-founding director of the youth program at the Powell House Retreat and Conference Center in Old Chatham. Since his retirement, he continued to be active ...
