CLIFTON PARK Children's author Bruce Coville worked the room of fourth-graders Wednesday like an entertainer with chalk dust in his past.
By coaxing details and scribbling them on the blackboard, the author helped Lorraine Waterhouse's class at Glencliff Elementary School in the Niskayuna district create the story of Robin.
Robin, who loves heavy metal music and has blue hair in spikes, gets shoved into the girls' bathroom in front of all the popular girls.
Coville is author of 38 published children's books, including ``My Teacher is an Alien'' and ``Ghost in the Third Row.''
