POESTENKILL Two months ago, Elaine and Robert Hathaway opened their door to a troubled 16-year-old named Duane M. Gabriel, taking him in their home as foster child with the blessing of the youth's mother. On Tuesday night, Gabriel was arraigned on two counts of murder stemming from the shotgun deaths of Robert Hathaway, 46, and his 17-year-old son, Michael, in their Cathlie Drive home.
Gabriel, who enrolled last week in the 10th grade at Averill Park High School, was arrested in the double homicide after he made ``certain admissions,'' said Rensselaer County Sheriff's Department Capt. ...
